I am a trained interpreter and translator based in Colchester, UK. I mostly cover Essex, Suffolk and London but I am willing to travel elsewhere if required.

I come from St. Petersburg, Russia where I worked as a lecturer in Russian, Spanish and Portuguese and as a translator and interpreter. I hold specialist qualifications as a legal interpreter and translator. I have extensive experience working for HM Courts & Tribunals, the Police Service, the Home Office, HM Revenue & Customs and solicitors specialised in criminal law, family law, employment law, civil litigation, conveyancing, etc. I have worked with insurance investigators taking statements for insurance and compensation purposes.
I hold a degree in Modern Languages as well as four specialist diplomas from the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIoL):
I am registered on the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI), Reg. No. 12652.
I have experience in medical interpreting, including health assessments for insurance or benefits purposes, mental health assessments, counselling and mediation.
I have worked with local authorities dealing with housing, education, child protection, benefits, disability and work-related issues.

Having been a professional interpreter and translator over many years I have dealt with a wide range of subjects, including business and commerce, market research, technology, tourism, etc. I always ask for as much information as possible about the project before I undertake an assignment. Translation of documents will be endorsed with a translator’s certification.
Short document £35 per document up to 300 words
Larger document from £85 per 1,000 words
Hourly rate from £35 per hour
Minimum fee from £70 per assignment
Half-day fee from £120 per assignment
Full day fee from £250 per assignment
Travel expenses at cost
First 5 minutes £5
Over 5 minutes £10 per every 15 minutes
